BASICS
Unfortunately we cannot guarantee any artist fees–all money received comes from donations from the audience.
Capacity is approximately 50. This series happens in a private home.
We are booking one show per month for the foreseeable future. Performances do not occur on a regular schedule but are scheduled to accommodate performers.
Check out the Soup & Sound history of past performances and artists to see if you fit in with our interests and artists–if you don’t recognize the names of artists who have performed here there’s a good chance you’re not going to be a good fit for us.
Generally we are oriented toward adventurous approaches combining various elements of jazz, improvisation, classical, and experimental music with occasional multi-media performances involving poetry, other writing forms, dance, and visual media. Smaller, quieter groups work best in our space.
Please also know that we have a very limited number of slots and a long waiting list of artists. We can’t guarantee a response to inquiries.
If you think you are a good fit, send us a message to booking@soupandsound.org.
